Fruit Full, Half Full, or “Sorta, Kinda”Full?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

We’ve all been naturally gifted with more or less of the aforementioned qualities/characteristics and by the same token have some which are probably lacking based on our upbringing and families of origin, and/or various challenges we’ve dealt with over time which may have left us not as joyful, etc., as the Lord would have us be. I have resolved to read Galatians 5 every morning for the next thirty days in addition to my daily devotional reading, to ensure that my walk of faith, as much as possible, evidences each of the qualities of the fruit of the Spirit and excludes anything which grieves the Holy Spirit. I invite you, follower of Christ, to do the same as it is so easy to respond to our environment, rather than stay focused on who God calls us to be regardless of circumstances or what the enemy sends our way. Walking in the Spirit, which we are commanded to do (Galatians 5:16) seems easier said than done, but it is highly possible with the help of the Holy Spirit whom Christ sent to assist us in all things…Positioning ourselves, whenever possible, among individuals who display these godly qualities (Galatians 5:22-23) will also go along way towards growing more of them in our own lives. More later…
